Building partnerships for a better future

At Corporate Travel Management (CTM), we understand our responsibilities as a corporate citizen and employer. That is why we have introduced several programs that benefit the environment and local communities, while also prioritising investment in our people. This attitude is reflected in our company values and informs how we conduct ourselves internally, as well as externally when dealing with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

Environmentally active

CTM is committed to a range of initiatives that support a more sustainable world. We aim to reduce our environmental footprint in every aspect of our business, while also working with suppliers to implement best practice solutions. Our goal is to enable a socially responsible, long-term and sustainable mindset within CTM and the wider community.

In Australia and New Zealand, CTM partners with South Pole, a company which specialises in sustainability solutions for organisations. Through this arrangement our customers can offset their emissions from air travel against a range of environmental programs. CTM works with South Pole to ensure all calculations and reporting for the carbon offset program is accurate and based on industry best-practice.  To date, CTM has compensated hundreds of tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions by investing in climate protection projects in Indonesia and China.

As part of our contract to provide travel management services for the Victorian State Government, CTM has established emission tracking and the purchase of CO2 credits thereby supporting the government’s goal to become carbon neutral by 2050. In fact, we facilitate payment of ‘Green Energy’ charges for several customers across the business.

CTM has installed environmentally-sound eWaste disposal processes in our offices and has introduced paperless process to limit the need for printing. We also provide paper bins for recycling, participate in the annual Earth Hour event, and have achieved NABERS Energy and Water Rating of 3.5 and 4 stars.

Empowering local communities

Working together allows us to achieve far more than we might alone. For that reason, CTM is focused on developing partnerships that deliver prolonged and meaningful benefits for the wider community. Below are some of our collaborative efforts that are having an impact.

CTM is proud to be a Friend of NRL Cowboys House, a program that provides supported accommodation for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from remote communities in Queensland, enabling them to access quality secondary education options. We also support similar Indigenous education programs with the Victorian and West Australian state governments.

We provide TAFE scholarship opportunities in Queensland that are supported by RizeUP, a community-driven organisation dedicated to supporting the many families affected by domestic and family violence.

Our regional offices have control over their fundraising activities and support a range of initiatives, including regularly donating blood, providing to Christmas appeals and undertaking volunteer days for charities.

CTM also actively supports and raises awareness for charitable events, such as the Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea, the World’s Greatest Shave, Earth Hour and Dry July.

People are at the heart of what we do

CTM is committed to developing our people and providing meaningful career opportunities. We are committed to creating a safe, engaging and diverse workplace that offers a range of benefits and rewards employee contributions.

Many CTM offices have a social club that runs regular events, while staff have access to physical group activities like boot camps and lunchtime fitness clubs. They can also take advantage of an annual chill out day and a health and lifestyle rebate.

Our employee benefits are broad and varied, including travel deals, private health care and gym memberships. We also provide complimentary flu vaccinations and an employee support program.

High performers are recognised through a range of career development and awards programs, and all employees receive continuous feedback from their manager as part of a monthly check-in process.
