Challenge
In a time of global uncertainty, our client was faced with challenges repatriating employees during a global pandemic.
The key challenges for the client were:
- The uncertaininty of flight schedules during a time of major disruption with flights times continually changing, and major airline carriers grounding flights
- Country borders in South America were tenuous, resulting in a lot of last-minute travel
- Continuously monitoring of the rapidly changing quarantine requirements to understand what would be required of travelers on arrival
Solution
In coordination with the Travel Manager and in-country operations team, CTM were able to understand the full picture of expats traveling, current travel restrictions, and country entry requirements. Through those understandings, CTM worked diligently to connect US travelers with an international repatriation flight and hotel.
Results
Successful repatriation to the travelers’ home country, while ensuring that entry requirements and quarantine measures were met. CTM assisted in:
- 19 repatriations from South America to US
- Four repatriations from US to South America
